how do you destroy a f en sherman

So apparently if you hit the barrel of a gun it does no damage and if you hit the side of the tank the round bounce off. So how do you destroy that and dont give me that bs you didnt hit it from an angle.

You dont need much pen to go through a sherman. If you have more than 90, its pretty easy to pen the front straight on. Just stick it through the upper part of the hull and it will almost always go through as long as you arent using a T-34 which (due to their low profiles until later tiers) has a pretty substantial disadvantage due to the shermans hull angling

If yorue going against a sherman dont even bother firing at the front. It has around 200mm of frontal armor i believe, so its pointless to try. Youll have to hit the sides, firing more towards the front than the back

A panzer 4 75mm can't pen a sherman but yet my Kv1e with 100~mm of armor gets penned like butter, something isn't right

Its the fact Gajin can't figure out to have a even non bias armor system, you find more bs from an Axis shooting at an Allied or Soviet then you will the otehr way..

It can, in the upper glacis, or the port on the upper glacis on some better armoured models. They have a weird shape compared to the KV, that's why they are trickier.

the Shermans in game a crazy!!! Not even remotely accurate....

A Sherman is like a super tank! There is something wrong when you fear a Sherman more then a Panther! or Tiger!

Historically it took about 12 Shermans to kill a Tiger and 6 Shermans to kill a Panther!

But in War Thunder it takes 6 Panthers to kill a Sherman!

And then there is the Russian tanks....!!!!! Mindboggling....

If it's a shumbo, hit the lower side plate (behind the tracks) since it's only 30mm thick, not 70mm+ of the side of the 101mm angled armour of the front, or the 177mm of turret armour
