Id take the yak anyday. Is reasonable up to 4.5k meters. Out-turns nearly everything. Decent gun platform. Pretty fast.

190. Good guns. Turns like molasses. cant turn fight at all and need height to even attempt a fight unless you do h2h. good roll rate

I agree with Zindai here but if you just want it to be vk-107 vs the D-9, I'd go vk-107

Keep in mind the VK-107 is just a Yak-3 but at 6.0, you're going to face nothing but jets and with the rubbish dive/rip speed of the Yaks you're going to have a hard time.

hmmm I was under the impression the 107 was built sturdier. HOWEVER while that was the real life concept of it, we all know Gaijin doesn't always follow through...

AFAIK it rips at the same speed as any of the other Yak-3s (around 700ish) which is pathetic when you're fighting jets. I don't actually have one, but I've been told it really struggles against jets.

Yak has very little ammo and constantly gets uptiered to jets. FW190 will probably be more useful. However, as someone has already mention, La7 is probs the best choice.
