User mission/planes on Mac OSX

Am I to assume this just isn't possible? I have user skins, but when I tried to missions, the missions load but the game states that it can't read the blk files for the plane (or something), even though I have all the right files/folders in all the right places as per instructions given by the user content original creators. So, have any other Mac users out there managed to get it to work? Or do I just give up and hang myself
