Its more likely to be some 8 year old in a western country who bought it for £20 or something and is using a stolen(hacked or hacked and sold account).
Derp; sadly yes.
So are there cheats for WT? Sure. Are there meaningful cheats? No. Nobody can fly around in a tank, get infinite ammo, make their gun shoot 3000rpm and nobody can shoot through mountains (in spite of what every crying noob claims).
+1 with the exception that despite no "Hacks" can let you shoot thru terrain; there are occasions where modeling flaws make it possible to shoot thru gaps. All hacks are client side; so visibility and lead is about all you get. Speed/Ammo/Armor/Pen is all on snail side
I'll check it out.
Here is the thing though, back when I was relatively new to World of Tanks (back when it was till a newish game), there was one guy that always irritated me in the forums about his constant bragging about how good he is and how people need to "L2P"... well, then I started watching some of his YouTube videos and watched what he did differently from me. His favorite stat tank was the Tiger P, and he always played the heck out of all tanks for tens of hours until they were not only maxed, but he knew exactly what to do with them. He also had a much faster reaction than I did, and even knew when to use the built-in auto-aim, which I did not.
Later, I learned of a ton of mods that could show all sorts of stats, give armor penetration details, provide more focus to the cross-hair, and even marked 'last known' locations of enemy tanks and even what they were. I played with those mods for a while, and yes, they were a bit unfair relative to how much easier they made certain things such as aiming without actually doing the aiming for you.
My point is that most of the really good players really were really good and did not need any sort of assists, but were even better with mod assists and certain graphic settings (like things that reduced foliage)... but that still did not refute their abilities to find good positions on maps or fast reflexes RIGHT when a tank appeared on screen.
I'm not arguing of the effectiveness of the aimbots and or other cheats in this game, however I guess the reason I have not noticed that much is because I just assume many players are better than I am... those times that they are not, I definitely know I did better without any assists... although now I'm tempted to see what sort of UI mods are available... aimbots are still for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, though.
I don't know if you are talking about this or not, but technically you can shoot through anything you can see through. They modeled the tank shell and the details in the terrain/building rather well.. so if it looks like a shell will fit through there, it technically can. You see a tiny bit of turret through hole in a slab of vertical concrete? You can shoot it. :D
Im talking about entire gaps in terrain that the devs forgot to fix; this accounts for 99% of OMGHAXIGOTWASTEDTHRUMOUNTAIN!!? Iv'e shot people thru masses of wire, openings for windows, brick walls. Those are all intended; im talking about exploiting unintended flaws in new maps.
Then you would just get every person with '0' across the scoreboard would yell that instead of simply "cheater!" in chat in just about every game lol... I don't think they can type that much or that fast. :(
