So what's the big fuss about Gaijin.net being a malware
I don't know , I disabled it the day I noticed it was there.
So I'm wondering what the ♥♥♥♥ this is all about.

It's not malware, just a auto updater that(surprise surprise) automatically checks for updates(and updates the game) when you start your computer. It's actually really useful, but some people don't like programs running in the background, without them knowing it,so they made up all that malware bs.

It's not malware, still, it interfered with my Steam login, when I used the auto-updater half the time there wouldn't even be an option for Steam login. When I disabled auto-update all went back to normal.

I'm just happy with the preload option.

Its not malware though under a technical definition it could be considered it. It is only removeable by going outside and beyond what would be considered the normal way to remove programs from your PC.

To have to mess around with files to remove it even after uninstalling the game makes it TECHNICALLY malware. Though its perfectly fine it doesnt seem to cause harm though i turn it off when i download stuff through steam because occasionally it pulls a lot of bandwidth for seemingly no reason.

I have no damn issue about it, I laugh my head off when I see people crying about an auto-updater lmao

All you have to do is disable its ability to start with windows and voila, it no longer runs unless you actually run WT.

Seriously, these people moaning about it, they're probably the kind of lobotomised monkey that complains to Microsoft saying their keyboard doesn't have an "any" key.

OR you can just turn it off in the launcher options

I had auto update toggled off and it would still run. Just follow instructions on how to prevent it. It is not malware, but I do not like programs auto updating on my PC so....

So you didnt read the terms of service, and therefor would win a court battle? But really, it is there to help the game run, and it is easily disabled if needed. If there was evidence it was say, tracking your every move then that might be considered illegal, but it does not do that.

I never installed any game, never agreed to anything, and found this software on my computer. There's no way this isn't malware.

Troll much? You don't even play this game since you don't have the mouse icon next to your name....
Even your post history shows that this is your 1st ever post to troll.
Not to mention, Nerco.

by deleting the folder containing the gaijin.net agent which takes about 4 megabyte ?!
i dont think so... you most likely deleted the War Thunder folder in your Steam games directory - this got nothing to do with the gaijin.net agent.
