Visibility
Tanks have a stat on the card that says visibility and its rated in a percentage. I've seen above and below 100%, what does this stat mean? How does it affect gameplay?

As of the last update, I've been getting more and more instances where enemy tanks names do not show up on my screen in AB. Sometimes I can stare at a tank with my gun or my binoculars, watching them fire more than one shot with no name popping up in AB.

Similarly, I've had more instances of people not seeing me when I am very open to them. Someone, who either popped out, or I did not see either, sitting on my broadside shooting at players who are past me.

Does visibility have something do to with this?

I read in another thread, the skill is useless now, as devs changed the way visual detection works in game. I only play AB and it hs been suggested it was a change to prevent "cheaters" in the other modes and AB players are suffering fall out. I do not know if that is correct, but AB is certainly different now.

This was the thread, I believe;

no its purely how fast the tank pops up for example a maus will pop up even if you just point the turret in that general direction however somethin like the asu 57 you need to be close and look directly at it and nameplating etc got changed some updates back already

I assume that a higher percentage would be viewable easier?

as said a maus with 250% is gona be easily seen and a asu 57 with like 43% is defently harder to spot
Does adding bushes make you harder to see in AB? Visibility wise.

Don't think bushes do anything to that value.

But I assumed it was to do with aircraft. There is usually a range where tanks render when you fly aircraft and I was under the assumption that it determined when you rendered in to players in aircraft, making larger ground units easy to spot by rendering in at farther distance and vice versa for smaller tanks with lower values.

But that is just my assumption. It could have something to do with AB and how close your name renders, or it could be for aircraft. I have no idea, but the aircraft one makes the most sence in my view.

It is the range at which you can spot enemies reliably, a enemy far away may disspear and then reappear out of thin air (which i see quite a bit), while a enemy tank a few yards away will always stay visible because it is detected and thus is constantly rendered visibly to you and your team, so theoretically you could go completely unseen because you won't render until the enemy crew detects you. I am probably wrong but this is what i have experienced so far...

Vehicles (Tanks) have a Visibility as a percent. I can not find any info, but it appears to effect the detect range of your tank. THE LOWER THE VALUE THE BETTER. If you are in a Sherman your screwed cause its well over 100% I like tanks with less than 85%. So if your crew can see a tank at 600 meters base and the target has a Visibility of 80% that means it may not be seen until 480 meters. if the target has 120% it may be seen at 720 meters. One you fire you gun, you may be seen line of sight no matter what not sure.
