BF 109 G6 30mm Motorkanone

so, i have the Gustav, i got the 30 mm gun, the problem is, what convergence should i use ?? because its really hard to aim in a dogfight

I tend to set my convergence at 500m, especially with large cannons you really don't need them to hit the same spot as even a single shell will most likely rip a wing off.
If it's in the nose the convergence won't make any difference anyway.

motorkanone dont need convergence... thats the advantage of motorkanone in the first place

Either you aimed wrong, or you didn't account for muzzle drop/enough lead.
Mk.108 is really very, very slow. You're almost better off walking over and hitting them with the shell instead.

but are you sure you understand what convergence is? wing mounted guns suffer from paralax. as the gunsight and guns are offset the guns are are not pointing at the same point but at points to the left or right of the aimpoint as far out as they are mounted in the wings.

convergence however adjusts the alignment of wing mounted guns so they arnt pointing directly ahead but slightly inwards to 'converge' or cross at your centerline at a given distance.

a motorkanone is mounted on your centerline, in line with your gunsight and thus not suffering from paralax, setting convergence at 500m will do exactly nothing as it is already on your centerline at any distance you care to set it

your aiming difficulties likely arise from the very low muzzle velocity of the mk108s and their general inacuracy

wrong, the 30mm shell is going to drop before the 700 m mark if no convergence is set, setting convergence makes the shell hit the target at exactly 700m, i know how this works, im not stupid, and the best range for 30mm is 500 m, you can easily do headon and dogfight with spit

not sure what range the bf109g6's sight is locked at ingame though

Dont shot until u are very close to your enemy, when i say very close is very close because those mk 108 are very slow due to the short cannon barrel. I would say 500-600 mtr for AB, 400 for RB/SB
