How to Unlock new Tanks?

I am very new to this game and would like to know how to unlock new tanks. If anyone could please help I would be very greatful.

Open up the research tree (bottom left) then select army on the top left, choose a tank you wish to research, then hit the To battle mode on any of the tank game modes,

The score you earn in the match will go toward unlocking your next tank

Research them by playing the game, then buy them using Silver Lions. A bit of advice is that Tier does not matter, but br does. A br 1 vehicles cannot see a br 3 vehicle as the spread is only 1.3. Make sure not to put vehicles with massively different brs together as you will be matched with the enemy based off your highest br vehicle.

By playing in tanks, you earn xp towards tanks of that nation. The tank glowing yellow on the bottom with the yellow progress bar is the one you are currently researching. Once you have finished researching it (gained all the XP needed) it will ask if you want to purchase it with SL (silver lions, the in-game currency).

Once you unlock and purchase it, it will ask you if you want to pick a crew for it (so you can use it in battle) which will also cost you some SL. Or, you can decide not to. Whenever you pick either one, it will ask you to pick a new tank to research (just click on one of the avalable ones) and you will begin researching it. Once you have unlocked 6 tanks of a tier, you can move on to the next one (so once you have bought 6 tier I tanks, you can start researching tier II tanks and so on).

You start of with a lineup of reserve tanks, Use them to get you research to unlock your next tank, then you can use that tank to unlock more and so on,

Any tank you use in a match will still give you research towards whatever you are unlocking, so you can use any tank you wish,

Also worth noting you will get a slight research boost if you use the vehicle unlocked before it,
eg. if you were researching the russian bt-7, using the bt-5 will get you slightly more research than using a t-26,
But you can still gain research by using both

6000+ air battles last I checked, never had a single 1.3br spread, i'm sorry but unless someone gives me any form of proof or a dev states this happens, i'm not going to believe it.

Any "Proof" that has been uploaded is just someone looking to cause trouble in example. they leave out the fact they're in a squad or a plane had just moved Br, or they were looking at the AB br instead of their current gamemode.
