Bombing airfields

What's the point of even bombing airfields? By the time i get there the battle is already half won/lost.

Yeah, many games are too short, but.
It's worth alot of RP and lions if you can destroy it. The amount will of course depends on whether you happened to kill alone or with others. The trick is to try and get the bonus for base destruction(doesnt matter who dropped the last bomb)
Not all bombers are a viable option for bombing out the zones and the airfield be before the game ends.
You need atleast 4000kg/10,000lbs bomb loads, a short reload time and an enemy who is not paying attention most of the time.

If u want to bomb Afs but u dont have enough time to do it, try SB mode. U can play with mouse without any problem, games use to stay for more that 2 hours and u can respawn when u die. It also gives u x3 time RP but u will find very good players who really know how to kill bombers in just one run, like me xD.

Course not. The bigger, the better. Afterall a 500lb has more TNT to 2 250lbs(Both US), this will work well when against airfields, such as the 8*2000 on a single airfield stacks to 10t, better than 40*500s which are barely 9t.

There is a map that is typically USSR vs. Germany. With 4 BVs or Fw.200s with a well planned bomb load, they can easily take out the base and win it in a single pass.

It's usually best to get the most TNT you can. There are certain bombs(USSR 5000kg for the Pe-8) where the damage is lower for the one big bomb vs. mulitples of less weight
