Toggle Free Look

Is there a way to Toggle the free look feature rather than having to hold down the button? Would just make it a bit easier in certain situations.

Not that I'm aware of. You might be able to write an AutoHotkey script to do it for you or something like that, but I'm not sure if that's legal under the War Thunder terms of service.

I thought about macros. Was hoping for an in-game solution.

I already use macros in War Thunder, so it definitely not something you get banned for.

The only real option is while holding your free look key down, Shift + Tab (or whatever you use) to bring up the steam overlay. Once you close the overlay, it will be as if your free look key is being held down. Just hit your free look key againt to go back to normal. Not the best or fastest choice, but it's the only one I have found.

Other then that, I believe you are out of luck.

Its perfect for when I'm watching a point in tank RB and don't want to hold down the look button the whole time to keep my turret still.
