Grinding just takes too long for average joe.

Hey.

I have reached tier 3s and 4s in almost every faction by now, tanks & planes. And for someone who only plays a few matches every other day, it feels like I am not able to unlock anything within the next 6 - 12 months. It's going so ridiculously slow, even when having a very decent match with several kills.

I do not use a premium account, and not being able to properly grind even without premium, feels a little like a trap to me.

You start the game, you enjoy it a lot, but from a certain point you will lose your interest since grinding your tree takes way too long without spending real money.

I know that opinions split about it, since it's a free2play game. But the good thing about a free2play game is, that you can decide yourself if you pay or not, and literally getting forced in to paying because of extremely slow grinding, is not a fair way.

Did Gaijin say anything about changing the income of XP or something similar? I was wondering if they are going to speed up the whole grinding somehow.

currently grinding for the first tiger 1, can confirm, hell it only gets worse from here

you are contradicting yourself a bit in saying that the slow grind is forcing you to pay, you are not being forced into anything, you just want to get there faster than you are and are letting it get to you. it is by no means impossible to do without, it just takes much longer

gaijin's entire model for this game is based on making the grind bad enough to make premium atratctive, whether you like it or not thats where their money to keep running the game comes from and is not likely to change much

edit: think about it this way, how much value do you place on your free time? this will depend on your income and free time ballance, try to place an absolute value on it and then think about whether you are 'paying' more in free time to grind than you would by paying for premium

If anything it's getting worse. They even increased the RP required for the KV-2 in the new update so I doubt they are going to lower it. Just enjoy the tanks you have as much as possible, around BR 3.7-4.7 is a pile of fun anyways and you get the most SL gain.

Sad to say but from what I see anyways advancing past T3-4 without priemium is not really possible nor with it ever be most likely unless you either sell your soul or spend your life grinding.

Well, I am sorry that it gets boring playing the same planes for 6 months in order even get something new. It's literally, play but be bored, or pay and don't be bored for a while, or stop playing overall. It's a passive way of forcing people in to paying.

Yeah, but I downloaded the game, because I was looking forward to flying fighter jets and modern era tanks....not being able to kind of ruins the entire game for me. If I could at least buy a premium fighter jet, I would probably do so one time.

If anything the grind to get to the end will only be getting longer as more vehicles are added to the trees, and I doubt Gaijin will change RP rewards as premium time/vehicles are obviously their biggest money makers.

IMO the best thing to do is just play the vehicles you like forget about the grind. If you really like to play a vehicle spend a bit to throw a talisman on it as they tend to be rather cheap, otherwise just find your niche within the game and play and ignore unlocks. Thats how I'm staying sane for the most part and I have Tier 5 GER and RU for both air and ground, and tier 4 for UK and US, haven't gotten anywhere with Japan yet though.

I can only hope they do what they did to planes to ground forces in reducing the RP costs for vehicles because it is ridiculous but I somewhat get that they want you to pay because gaijin is a company and offering a f2p game they need to make their money somehow

Idk why ground forces cost more RP to get than planes, weird.

I heard before that they need to add more vehicles before they do that but ive got my fingers crossed they will lower them soon because this is beyond ridiculous

This is the original thinking as to why RP rewards in GF aren't as high as they are in air battles, they're like less than half or something iirc. But seeing as they haven't adjusted the rewards or costs yet despite many tank trees such as Germany's or Russia's being fleshed out a lot as is, I highly doubt they plan on adjusting them anything soon, if ever.

even wit preimum it takes waaay too long like 1 month per vehicle that is just too much

When you get it for free they close there doors and you have no game who would want too , work for free thats why they close up and don't support It, enjoy the game the best you can and maybe later you can buy a monthy account premium really helps to unlock new tanks and airplanes been playing two years 1345 hours...........

Not to worry,....fun to be had at mid tiers! There are plenty of other things to focus on as opposed to the grind for the next vehicle.
