But seriously, i don't think they even render over a certain distance? unless they changed something..
I don't understand the gameplay appeal of having a singular item in the game that grants a disproportionate advantage, such that anyone not using it is immediately less likely to do well. How is that balanced? More importantly, how is that fun?
Even ignoring that, a game that models itself on being more of a "simulator," allowing people to plaster bushes all over the front of their tank, blocking all important view ports, yet still being able to see perfectly seems completely counter-intuitive.
I will never put bushes on my tanks, even if I somehow unlock them, because it seems like such a game-breaking "feature." I don't understand the rationale behind it.
I don't really know which of them are available, and I don't much care, because being able to cover up weak spots is pretty bad on its own, in my opinion. That goes for using the gas cans, signs, etc. It's an interesting idea, but I think it was very poorly executed -- like a lot of things in this very rough-around-the-edges game.
This is true, but I'm speaking about the game more generally. If Sim mode didn't suck (complete lack of efficient ways to communicate with your team totally ruins it for me), if I could play the tanks I actually wanted to, and the queues didn't often take a good while, I'd probably play Sim too much to even notice the bushes. As it stands, they annoy the crap out of me in realistic.

Gotcha. Still can't say I think they should exist, at all. I understand it's probably undesirable for them to "refund" people who bought them and remove them entirely, but I find it pretty amazing that they thought that was a good idea in the first place.
