does the p51 sucks?

isn't the p51 supposed to be an amazing plane?because germans boast how they ♥♥♥♥ it in the ass,i used it and it doesn't seem to excel or impress in anything, so i don't know whats so special about it, not in this game.

Depends, what p-51 are you talking about? The first one? Because I have that and it can kick ass. Idk about the t4 ones because I'm not there yet.

No it does not. The P-51s are great planes. Their turn and climb-rates aren't great (unless you're in the D30) but the energy retention and speed, as well as manoeuvrability at high speeds, is fantastic. The P-51A (with 4x 20mms at 3.7) and the P-51D-30 are my personal favourites.

The P51-D5 clubs at 4.3 after it was downtiered, especially in air RB and the D30 version is even better.

50 cal nerf gimped the P51's but they were never 'brilliant' in WT due to AB favoring 20mm and above so heavily in terms of damage models. 50's used to be great for pilot sniping and setting fires but they've been roundly nerfed since.

When flying a P51 it's all about the BNZ. Start turn fighting or head-on-ing and you'll die like a dog.

PS. They are 100x better once you've unlocked all their gear too. Stock they are painfully trash and the best way to rank them up is to downtier them hard early.

Try to unlock the d30 as fast as u can, both are great but the d30 is really a beast cuz they can outtunr a bf 109 and they can dive at 900khph or faster, in my personal opinion they are great and i love it for SB (or when i play RB too) and with those 6x 12.7mm u will burn a lot of planes.
