Best Tier 2 Japanese Fighter?

So, I value turning over either speed or armour, with a second emphasis on firepower, and I am about to progress into Rank 3, but I want to enjoy Rank 2 a little - where of the main aircrafts should I remove from action to have only four active?

You should have at least 5 slots, and tier/ rank doesn't mean anything, it's about the BR of your lineup.

Best rank 2 fighter : a6m2 mod 11 for sure but if u want speed and decent turning with good ammo load go for the ki 100 II or the j2m2 but the Zero is the best turning without doubt. U can fight without stallin any spitfire at 150kmh so imagine how good turning it is, (cons: its slow but if any fighter try to turn with u, trust me , hes 100% dead. If they BnZ u, u are dead for sure, thats the main problem but its very very good to fight against any fighter even p38s or p47s

Good luck if u want to kill something with the 12.7mm ho-103, they are only better than the 12.7mm breda safat so i would go with the a6m2 which has 20mm for sure, 12.7mm in italians planes and Japanese planes are just awful. And those 40mm make the turnig speed a little bit higher and if u want turn rate the zero is better but the ki 44 is not a bad plane at all but u have better options IMO

Best tier 2 is Ki-100 for sure, fast, good firepower, plenty of ammo.
J2M2 is also quite capable, good as high altitude interceptor or BnZ.
Ki-61-I otsu is quite good, quad 12.7mm is nothing to snicker about and shreds planes fast, not a turnfighter though.
I dont really like Ki-44s and prefer Ki-43-I and Ki-43-II, they have less firepower but are amazing turnfighters, Ki-44s wont even come close to that.

Best plane in rank 3 is Ki-43-III otsu, way better then any of the Zeros.

but nothing beats the 40mm on the otsu when it comes to firepower technically
