Matilda's BR?!
Why in hell does the matilda have 3.0 BR? It has just a 40mm, it can't penetrate anything at that rank. Also, it's slow as hell and has the same armor as medium tanks. Don't waste lions on this ♥♥♥♥.

Because when it gets 3.0 maximum games it's immune to pretty much everything but TDs or F1s spamming HEAT. Lower it to 2.7 and it'll be facing 1.7 tanks, which won't be able to penetrate it at all.

And it can penetrate everything at 3.0 up to about 4.0. The damage output sucks, but mine reloads in 3 seconds flat so you can just hold the trigger down.

Yeah, if we take into the context the fact the matilda is a infantry tank (Not a heavy tank like the tiger), it was meant to lead a charge and use the heavy armor to deal with anything, if you don't like the matilda, don't use it, most poeple really know how to use a early heavy tank
yeah, in fact i just skipped it to get the other much better heavies

In real life the Matilda fought terrible Italian light tanks that couldn't do anything to it. As soon as the Afrika Korps came in however with much better German tanks, the Matilda soon lost its title of "Queen of the Desert".

The Germans struggled against them in the French campaign and early on in Africa until the long-barreled 50mm and 75mm guns came around. It's also one of the tanks that made them press the 88mm FlaK gun into anti-tank duty.

The Matilda is still an excelent tank at 3.0. The 2 pounder is absolutly rubish but it's fast reload means you can pick off key crew members before the other tank can fire back. It has crazy armour for it's BR and the only thing from another tree that matches the 75mm of armour is the KV-1 at 3.7. No way this thing should go any lower then 3.0 and even then that is very low considering how good the armour is. It sucks hard fighting T-34's and Shermans with this thing but if you get downteired then it clubs hard.

Don't count on British heavies getting much better. The armor can be nice and the reloads on the guns are good, but the first Churchill lacks good armor (not bad, but not great) while the Mk. VII's 75mm lacks good firepower for its BR. They get slightly better in Tier IV with the Caernarvon, but not by a lot. I would recommend you use more nimble tanks like the Cromwells, Comet, Centurions, etc as you will have a better time (especially not being one of the easiest targets to hit) later on.

I seriously feel like im the only person who loved this tank; angle that frontal armor and you become nearly immune to anything short of the long 75MMs. The gun has plenty of pen; combine this with a reload of 5-4 seconds and it can deal serious blows.

If it is top BR or in a lower BR match, it's a great tank. But if you end up in a 4.0 match, not as great (can still do good though). I find it fun to take out from time to time and I'm sure others do as well. Long 50mm guns on the later Panzer III's can also be a big threat if they know how to aim though.

well i found out, it seems like i always end on 3.7 or 4.0 matches

Yea at 3.0 you will get sucked into 3.7's 2/3 games since it's a black hole for the other nations. In that case just start with a Cromwell because the 75mm can deal with the 3.7's farily effectvly.
