How to counter bombers?

How do I counter them? More specifcally the American Bombers?

The problem I experience is that they are very overpowered based on their historical counter parts

I have put 100 (I ♥♥♥♥ you not) 20MM air target hispano rounds into one engine. Yet I get no fire.

I have put over 600 shots into a fuselage yet the plane is flyable and not dead

I have put 200-300 shells into the planes wings. Yet they dont rip

What am I doing wrong? I dont know what I am. I am aiming for key components yet they just dont die.

This is why I believe bombers in this game are overpowered. They may die fast sometimes but based on their historical counter parts, they are about 300-500% more powerful.

historically they died in 20 20MM shots to the fuselage yet in this game the fuselage has infinite health and the even the engines, the weakest part, that usually gets set afire in 1 shot is 1000% more tanky

Think about that. An engine with 1000% integrity

So I ask the community. How can I kill a bomber. More specifically the B29, B24, and B17

My spitfire mk22's 650 hispano rounds are not enough right now (I can hit about 500 rounds to wings out of 650 yet hte bomber is just critted and not on fire)

I'am a very skilled North American Bomber pilot but I do fear one airplane. From what I see is the BF109 is a very good counter. I noticed it has the perfect ratio of armor, fire power, speed, and manuverability. None of my turrets can seem to take them down. Out of all eleven encounters I've only killed two when the rest shot me down. But if you are looking for technique then you shold consider shooting the elevators. Without this the airplane cant move up or down or take hard turns then focus on the fuselage. I hope this is useful information! BTW I use the B-25 Mitchell Attack Plane/Meduim Bomber.

500-600 distant target (800 if u are just going to attack bombers) , 2 km above him, dive , aim at his wing or engine which is better and start shooting before u reach 200mts if u miss pull up and do it again( try to attack the same wing)
Best plane to attack bombers: any german fighter, p47 p51d yak9t/9k j2m2 or ki 100 tempest or typhoon but u can do it with any plane u want if u do it like this. (For RB and SB)

I'm referring to the American heavy bombers

b25 is more of a heavy fighter IMO

b25 is more of a heavy fighter IMO

theres any american heavy bomber that can defend itself if the enemy fighter is used correctly by the enemy pilot, fw 190 are better than the 109 in my opinion but there are more. its very difficult to keep alive against a german plane if u dont get support so u should fly around some friendly fighters if u dont want to die.

I can fight fighters any day. Just when it comes to interception, they tank all of my ammo...........

Does the RAF get any derp gun planes like the B-25 with 75mm? If so, use them and go in fast. Dont let the gunners get a chance to shoot. Boom and zoom is the name of the game.

Tempen mk V Vickers 45mm for example, u can dive at 800kmh, shoot the bomber and go RTB (if u got hit) then the bomber will go down and u can get ready to attack again to another one

Well enough of my rounds crits the bomber and he'll eventually go down but my issue is I don't get the immediate kill so I keep firing.

I'll end up having to RTB because damaged engine and no ammo.

With 45mm u wont get crits if u hit them in the wings cuz they will explode like TNT so if u have good aim and u want a fast plane, tempest vickers is the best option IMO
