Unless this is the answer you were looking for:
I'll explain. I just started the game and they gave me Pz II DAK to drive and put a 35(t) and a III B in my reserve. I just researched a III E. I want to drive the III E and have the III b and the DAK as my reserve. how do I set my reserves?
The definition of your "reserve" is the crew slots underneath in which crew you wanna sortie with their respective tanks.
Open up your Research Tech Tree then hover your mouse to the desired tank you want your crew to use. Select "Choose crew slot" then pick one of the crew slot you want or replace the current tank in the crew slot.
You do that by going into the reserch screen (the one that show all the tanks reasearchable for a given nation.
Then you click on the tank you want to use (don't remember if its right or left click), and you click on "choose a crew". It will open a box that allows you to choose which crew will drive this tank into combat.
It costs some silver lions to train a crew to use a new tank.
You can also buy additional crews (3 is all you need if you only play AB)
