Spitfire Mark 24: tips

Greetings fellow Forumers,
I have done this thread just to ask you a simple question

What tips can you give me for the spitfire mark 24?

What do I expect?

• Max speed before Ripping-off wings
  
• Best angle of climbing...
  
• Best strategy [BnZ or Turn-fight]

Great plane well armed , use its 150 octane to be fast and aggressive, it can do it all turn fight, hunt bombers or BnZ .

I always advise this for any plane, but for spitfires I try to climb until I can no longer avoid engagement, or until the enemy is all below me.

Then pick your target and shoot em up with your four 20mm cannons. Stick to him. Your manourvrability will keep you from getting out turned, as well as allowing you to dart out if things get sticky. Once he's gone, high tail it out into the stratmosphere...

Ta's, Bear Cats and a range of planes do things more effectively than the Spitfire Mk 24, particularly when it comes to speed.

No, speed can allow you to zoom-climb as well as you being able to side-clomb (see P-51 at 3.7 for example)

A zoom climbing P-51 still cant out climb the glorious spitfires.

P-51 was an example for the side-climbing tactic I gave you... Is all about knowing how, where and when to climb :steanfacepalm:

I would say the P80 can be close to being considered OP

The LF mk IX also can hold that title

Maybe the MiG15/17 or maybe the Hunter F1.
