P-51 with hispanos. Wrecks everything.

P40, P36g, and f2a3, are all decent planes but If you're playing AB, there's not much hope because the early 50cals are bad right now.

Nah, usually all I play is realistic. Ever since I started playing RB, I hated arcade, at least with air battles.

The two BR 3.0 P-47 in AB, they're very versatile and just help you win, besides that you can run a BR 3.0 tier 3 lineup which is quite good for most wagers, including golden wager.

F6F-3, good guns, versatility, quite manoeuvrable for an US plane, very fast and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stall speed

P-40E is an absolute beast with WEP now, F4U-1A is an undertiered clubber, and the P-51 with quad hispanos is awesome too.

The P-51 isn't a bad plane at all, it really is capable when it has energy...
The problem is this plane has a lava-running engine that overheats instantly so it can barely get energy through climbing, and once you reached a decent alt, with it's poor energy retention, good luck climbing up again

Anything is good with US T2-3. If you like reliable ammo, anything with 6 or 8 .50 cals will do the trick. If you're feeling adventurous, the P-39 and P-63 lines offer some one-shot-sometimes-bounce 37mm fun. Any of the US heavy fighters excel in energy fighting and head-on engagements, you can't really go wrong at this point.

P51 20mm is the best option but you have some other awesome aircrafts; P36G, P39, P47 d25, P40 E1, P38G, F4U and F4F/F5F. The rest are fine too but tgis ones are the best.

P-38G is a fun plane to fly for me, though overheats quickly.

I have no idea but P-51s eat my ass like buttered toast, they seem to be your best bet

I'd say either the cannon P-51 or the F6F, both planes have similar characteristics, I think the P-51 wins out for fighter vs fighter because of its armament. The F6F can carry a lot of bombs and rockets so it is a better choice for ground forces/

P-39/P-63 aren't bad and they are very fun to play !
Long range 12.7 + short range 37mm is a very cool gameplay !
