The Typhoon it's an overall great plane. But being a boomer and zoomer it has a horrible trait for those kind of planes: it locks at high speeds.
Try to control your speed in a dive, I think try not to surpass 650 km/h (maybe a little less). Above these speeds the typhoon's roll rate is HORRIBLE) and the rudder locks. Good Boomer and zoomers have excellent roll rate, this one has note but it can turn pretty good.
You will like this plane because of its great armament, good dive speed and acceleration and because it can carry rockets. So when you don't want to be a pure fighter you can play as a ground striker/fighter mix for grinding , and it's fun.
Recently I've played a lot the P51 Mustang. It's not a good climber but if you cover yourself with higher positionated friendlies it is deadly. It has my kill record of 7 enemies down.
