Object 268 is so bad
After watching some videos I saw that it's a very bad vehicle, 7.7 is too much, it's just a soviet jagdtiger, I would put it at 7.3 and the SU-122-54 at 7.0 and remove the Cheat-FS, what do you guys think?

Or just not play it.

T-10M hull is nice, but the superstructure is weak, ammo everywhere, and the 152mm does not hold up when facing sloped armor. Down to HEAT for the tougher targets or try your luck with HE. Not sure why they decided to add this other then to fit more tanks in Tier V.

I suspect it'll be downtiered to BR 7.3 (or even BR 7) at some point. Its sluggish and has the same problem all big guns have at higher tiers, that is, you accomplish more with a faster firing 120mm or 105mm gun. It's pretty comparable to the Jagdtiger actually (minus the service date).

I have the object 268 with ace crew and almost all modules and I must say ... It sucks in so many ways.
Because of it's br... you'll get killed by atgm's and heatfs all the time and if you're lucky to met a tiger II. It will pen your 180mm flat armor near the gun manlet like it was paper.

I think it would fit a 7.3 br much more, because then you will have a better chance of surviving.

Also the rounds you can choose from is terrible.

The ap rounds has so bad pen for a tier 5 td. To make them useful, you have to get near the enemy... which will end up you getting killed like you was nothing.
If you try shooting from a far distance, you can't pen most of the enemy tanks you'll be facing in that br.

Ofcourse you can use the heat rounds with 250mm pen, but you most likely only cripple them and not killing them in 1 shot in most cases.

Let's face it. This tank who got so many hyped "Including myself"
Is a big failure in War thunder...

Convert a ton of GE and use the rest on the modules and slap it in your highest crew slot?

Its basically a worse Jagdtiger.

anyone could've easily predicted this before it came out. High tier has no place for such heavy casemate vehices.

This really explains how awful this tank is, because of it's way too high br. "Skip to 2:06" https://youtu.be/1iYXY5KbnAY?t=2m6s

I found out, if you carry around 10-14 shells in it.
"Can't remember the exact number"
There won't be any ammo stored in the rear inside of the tank.
The enemy tankers will most likely not hit your ammo with their first shot, since 90% of them will shot for the upper hull.

Ofcourse your crew will still get destroyed by heatsf and atgm's, but it still helps a bit to carry less ammo :)

Great to know, however I'm sure I won't get it unless its BR gets descreased to 7.3 .

When I saw it in the dev server, my first thought was "This can't stay at 7.7, it won't stand a chance!" and assumed it would be a placeholder BR. But to my suprise, it sits at a horrid BR. The ammo is only slightly better then the ISU-152 with a bit more ammo and decent reload for a 152mm howitzer.

Only plus to it is the use of the T-10M hull. Not sure why they picked 7.7 for it or even added it other then a stop gap between the SU-122-54 and IT-1.

It again falls in that 7.0-7.7 gap where WW2 style tanks start falling off due to the br system.
If it where at 7.3 it'll probably club pretty hard. Imagine fighting this thing in a pershing, tortoise and similar tanks.
