Maybe try some software to boost your laptop, maybe your processor is running alot in the background.
But keep in mind, an laptop isnt really for gaming! Yes, they offer laptop's for gaming, but still an desktop is the best way to play games. Not only performance but also the heat and lower in price!..
It isn't the best, but the performance are pretty good for an mobile graphics card.

Hmm, I am aware that mobile GPU's are lacking compared to pc counterparts however i've done pretty well with the 670MX so far. Running graphically intensive games like Crysis 3, Metro Last Light etc all on high averaging at least 30fps on a 17" screen @ 1600 x 900. I guess I just assumed I'd be ok with IM as it seemed to be no more graphically intensive then any other game id been playing recently. All graphics drivers are up to date, high performance on etc. I know being pre alpha things arent really optimised to the fullest yet, I just hoping I get a performance boost in the future as I was really looking forward to this game :(
Edit: Just read the link posted, Quote,
"The graphics performance of the GeForce GTX 670MX should be above the older GTX 670M and is therefore in the high-end class of mobile graphics cards of 2012. Only the extremely demanding title The Witcher 2 may not run fluently in ultra settings. Battlefield 3, Skyrim, and Crysis 2, for example, are playable at the highest detail settings."
Can you please post up your monitor resolution and the resolution you're playing at. Also, can you take a hi-rez screenshot and post it up here as I'd like to check something (or you can add it to your support ticket as I can see it in there as well).
Thanks!

having said that it does seem crazy you had to go that low ress - try to turn off all the graphics effects (keys 1-6, they are shown as on or off as little dots in the bottom of your screen when in-game) pick the middel graphic setting and see what you get at native(1600x900) resolution.
Oh right, I'm admittedly a bit of a noob when it comes to steam so I just assumed I'd upload it and it would be available for everyone. I'll try and get it on here. EDIT: I missed your first point somehow. Yeah I have standard Realtek HD audio. I'll look at the drivers for that.
@Forgefire, i've been messing with the graphics effects and turning them off makes little to no difference in terms of fps, it just looks better/worse.
you can copy and paste the link to the screen right into the comment. just right click and *copy page url*
for the realtek update you can: right click the speaker on the bottom right of your desktop > playback devices > right click Realtek Digital Output and open properties > the window that pops up will have the realtel logo and right under it should be a blue text link for the realtek website with the drivers.
^^^^^^
lol i assume you already know where to get the drivers but that is for others that may or may not know where to go for them :)
