Game doesn't start anymore after today's 64-bit update
The game was working fine earlier today, after the 64-bit update it doesn't even launch. There is no error message. I tried restarting Steam, restarting the PC and validating the game files, nothing helped. I don't know if this is relevant or not, but when I try to run StarpointGemini2.exe directly there is a dialog box saying that the Entry point for procedure CreateFile2 was not found in KERNEL32.dll. I am using Windows 7.

Hi please send us the game log file that can be located in the game installation folder.

I sent Log.txt to customersupport@starpointgemini.com. However, the log seems to be from the last sucessful run of the game (before the update). Trying to run the game now does not change the file's timestamp.

I'm having the same error mentioned above after the last update.

They probably broke Windows 7 compatibility by introducing a dependency on CreateFile2, which is only Windows 8.0+

Yep, same thing here. On Windows 7:

The procedure entry point CreateFile2 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

We're working on a fix as we speak. Quickfix should be applied soon

Major bummer. I just took a chance on downloading this todays ago. Been loving it and am now excited about the DLC content and the new Warlords version in the works.

Was on my way to purchasing my 1st Destroyer and....GAME CRASH!!! Tried to restart from Steam..nothing happens. Started troubleshooting...Kernel 32 error! NOooOoOOooOOoooOO! Reinstalled the game twice as well as video drivers trying to fix it. lol

and yes, i'm running Win7 64-bit. I can't stand Win10 but i guess i should get over that and bit the bullet.

They announced they're already working on a fix. I was about to get my first Zurria as well. I'll just take the time to look around and hype myself for when I can play again.

It's great to see that the devs are actually working and worry about their player-base, unlike Toukiden 2's devs.

Props to these guys ^^

@Dimreaver Windows 10 might fix the problem where having right now with this game but its going to cause more problems then its worth with allot of other games.

There are allot of games here on Steam that will just not run on Windows 10 and never will so unless you want to setup a Dual boot system I would stick with windows 7 as long as you can

Yeah these Devs are great ...but why do a major upgrade on a Saturday when most are off and have the time to play. Why not do it during the week and if you run into probs well alot less people are impacted..... oh well they will fix it and all will be right with the world once more.

@sceptre I agree they should of waited to release it or should of released it as a beta so these problems could be fixed without causing everyone with windows 7 to not be able to play the game.

Good point. Well i'm glad the devs are on top of things. Tobad the update wasn't 100% full proof. Hate troubleshooting on Sat.
