"heroes"
what do "heroes" do? i have killed 2 so far and gotten a bounty, are they supposed to be on the bounty board for unlawfulls? (my character is lawfull) or do they have another purpose?

afaik the ones on the bounty list are criminals in one way or another that needs to be disposed off which is why you get a bounty for doing so..

but the heroes give a bounty as well and are lawfulls, plus the guy i killed was not on the bounty list (he was also glitched and was nuetral when he was supposed to be green, then he was green and when i tried to kill him the FAW wouldnt work, do some of them have a disguise or something?

hmm...dunno, might be there is a seperate pirate bounty list planned by the devs, at which the unlawful clans/factions post bounties for their enemies..

FAW doesn't work on friendly/neutral factions which does make sense, since otherwise in a battle were multiple ships are involved you would pretty much fire at anything..Though i do suppose after you have engaged even green ships they would turn enemies and the FAW would then work

what i thought too, but it refused to stay red even after grappling it and shooting it to peices (literally lol) so i dont know if it was a glitch or if its that way incase of a accidental grappling, now that i think of it, im pretty sure the first hero worked fine, he went red and FAW tore him to peices.... i think...hmm..

is it a bad thing that not one of the bountys are dead but i killed two "heroes" lol

5 mill for the first i think and 5 mill for the second, same price as the bounty i was hunting for then after i killed the hero the bounty said his location was RIP (dont have a full revealed map so im not sure if thats actually a place) but i killed 2 heroes and only 1 bounty said RIP i will check again and see if it is set back to a actual place

oh and both the names were different (the ship name was different then the bounty board name)

EDIT: kano saichi is the bounty, and it still says RIP as a location, but none of the others do (the hero i killed, the second one, was flying a freighter and marked as trinity free states)

just went to the location of a bounty and found another trinity free states "hero" im starting to think the bounty board might be messed up?

just killed orias and it says i kille deedra i also got her bounty and the board says her location is "RIP" i think its bugged

I see the problem (I think). What you are seeing is the ships name, not the heros name. So orias is the name of deedras Ship. The display name ingame on the view is ship name. :)

Sorry I went to write this yesterday only to discover my game was crashing due to a bug I introduced in my lastest update for heros.... :\. Anyways fixed it so here we go:

1. Heros standing toward the player is not effected by their reputation. No matter what faction you try and place them in, or the players reputation the heros always remain none hostile.

2. Once agressed by the player they will change to hostile, but they will try to become nuetral again and flee if not grappled after some time has passed. (Not very hero like)

3. Their dps is like getting hit with a paper fan. (this is probably the scaling issue related to all ai and the fact that they use default loadouts)

4. They do not seem to use any skills linked to their profession.

5. While you have them hostile (red) FAW will not function on them. (Probably linked to the always neutral bug)
Just for reference, when I attack Curtis with greens (allies) around, they will turn hostile (assume becuase I am attacking what they precieve as an ally?) AND
FAW will work against them until they turn back to green.

Those are the bugs that I have noticed. :)

Also so as not to start a new thread, when do you think the next update will be?

(Hoping for some more modding options, like default load out changing and ai functionality)

Many thanks for the list Clermas! Oliver is already cheering with joy ;).

The next update is planned for next week, Wednesday. More modding options will definitely be introduced, but the bulk of it is linked to global events. I've already placed the function definitions on the modding site. You can check it out under the Scripting->Functions->World category. "Global event: ..." if you're interested :).
