Can't properly open *.sal files
I have already read the about it on the website. I downloaded and imported language definitions. Also added the function plugis. Notepad++ 6.5 is showing lots of NULLs.

Oh. Sorry. The site is a bit out-dated. Haven't had time to update it yet. To improve loading times and execution, we've compressed scripts into binary format. There's a little program located in the game root directory that you can use to uncompress them back. The same program is used to compress them into binary. ScryptCompiler.exe.

I'll also start including a zipped up archive of the script folder to go with each version, so anyone interested can open it up and get the raw, commented version of every script. The compression unfortunately removes the comments, making it a bit more difficult to understand what does what, especially if a script is very long.

Either i don't know how to use this program or it doesn't work. I choose sal file in it using browse option, click convert and nothing happens.

Damn. Lemme check.
EDIT: Terribly sorry. I misspoke. That version of the compiler is not on Steam yet. I'll add the scripts archive to go with each new update from now on.

Is this what Scripts.zip is in the Spg2 folder now?

I don't suppose we can have access to the weapon activation.sal files? I was hoping to make the Borehole Torpedo range a bit wider.

I'll have to take those out separately and include it as well. I didn't think anyone would be interested. Nice to see there is interest :).

Please zip ALL the .sal as uncompressed asap, all the game's .sal, as they all are useful to mod and learn from. Some are just missing , like \Spg2\Models\Special\OrpheusMine , I cannot find the uncompressed detonation.sal or firingOff.sal, just activation.sal.
