Track target camera mode
Would it be possible to get a camera mode that continually tracks and looks at whatever you have targeted?

I've tried using the turret cam, but this seems rather clunky to use. I keep losing whatever I'm trying to keep track of when flying around. The mounted cam is good for small ships but not that useful for bigger ships. The "default" camera view also looks mostly forward, so this makes it difficult to track what you're shooting at unless its directly in front of you.

A target tracking camera mode would mean it would be easy to fly around, manuver, and give broadsides while still tracking whatever it is you're targfeting. Shield and weapon arcs could be easily monitored and changed without losing track of what you're shooting at. It'd be a huge quality of life improvement in the game. Also, sexy broadsides. Giving broadsides like its the 1700's.

I like that. I used to fiddle with track camera in Eve, that was neat feature.

Actually it's already implemented, if I understand correctly of what you mean. Please check the controls menu. It is possible the Chase camera isn't set to any key by default. It was a late addition ;). Let me know if that helps please :).

Oh hey, it is in the game. Didn't notice that. Nice.

Default keybind is "K". Its in the option menu, but it doesn't appear when you press tab to cycle through the camera views.

It only works if there's a hostile selected. Friendly targets won't track, but hostiles do so long as K is pressed, and its a toggle. Nice.

It actually does, the chase cam tracks what ever is selected such as your captured ship and friendly wings flying around you. I'm not sure if it tracks planets, structures, debree, or derilects though.

You can also have chase cam mode "ON" then select different things to track.

I started playing about 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure if this is a new feature they added.
