On another note... so you prefer the older bugger version of shard asteroids to the current one? Interesting. Thanks for the info :).
Cargo status - Besides the small indicator on the HUD, you can also open the Fleet->Cargo panel (top-right side of the screen) where you can have an overview of your entire cargo manifest. You can also jettison stuff out if you so wish.
Better then jettison is to destroy them (will not be collectable again). So you destroy asteroid take all and destroy the cheap crap inside cargo.
For me everything which is above 500Cr isn't interesting.
Secondly try to find Asteroids with different color inside. Obviously there is rare ore.
(do not remember exactly but somewhere in Hornst was mining yesterday)
And finally go to sell for batter price ;-)
Most of the Credits I've made have actually been from Destroying and Capturing "Hostile" ships.
The various Cargo's for the most part are worth far more than the raw ore I can pull in and sell within the same period of time. This makes Mining a secondary consideration, but there's something very appealing about blowing up cool looking Asteroids. Especially the nearly Invisible Space Glass that Shard used to look like. Since the Change, I've spent more time Mining Crystal, which looks really cool as well. Unfortunately, the Credits I make in a couple hours Mining don't come anywhere near the amout I've been making from combat and captures.
Really I suppose it does'nt matter that much, but I have over 100 Borehole Torpedo's, and I figured, what the heck, maybe, I'll have some fun and make some credits as well. ^.^
I think we can share the know-how and tricks because the isn't primary mining-minded :-D
The guns, ships, places, ores etc.
