Finding missions and leveling
Having a great time in campaign mode, but after following the story, doing radio chatter missions as they pop up they now are mostly 10 levels above my level.

How can i find more missions at my level? I've barely made 1.5 million credits and only upgraded my weapons a little and every ship i come across is rated "impossible" One campaign mission had me destroy a ballleship...took my puny guns an age to destroy it

Obviously i'm doing something wrong...anyone help me? I'm currently near the nexus/wilo the wisp area if that helps....

Focus on money making first, then experience, not the other way, or the game scaling will punish you.
(Missions are good for xp and not money).

Taxi and Ferry missions can be done without ever firing a shot. If you have a ship with a cloaking device, even the "spawn-right-next-to-the-player" ambushes can't touch you.

Get some modding knowledge and mod your cargo an do some Trade. If the rules do not work out for you bend them a little :) the important thing is to have fun right? That is why we play a game. So if the game is not fun for your style, mod it to make it fun.

I am not sure if there are diffences in the Origins DLC compared to normal play, but I am finding I can take things on that are a few levels above me, as long as I am carful.

I'm offered just a side mission lvl 15, a level 25! assasination mission and lvl 13 mission that was impossible for me at 14. Just looking at the ship i knew it was too mcuh for me..

How do i find easier missions?

I think the missions get rerolled if you save the game and reload it.

(whenever I load a saved game, my mission list is always blank)

There are difference between areas.
But if you cannot take nexus enemies at level 15, you have done something wrong.

Do not be oover obsessed with the enemies level, what ship they are flying matters a lot more.
Trinity (except the west most prefecture) will not spawn anything above corvette.

The amount of crew is a better indicator of their danger than the "rating".

I've annihilated ships that are rated "impossible" or "danger".

Capturing ships with boarding party is the key to making money in this game. Little corvettes are worth at least 250K, all the way up to battleships worth like 2.5 mil. Which means you need to pick a ship with the most marines, not necessarily the most weapons, and load your ship with officers and mods that improve transporter capacity.

I wrote a topic about how to capture ships with more troops than you have over here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/236150/discussions/0/2119355556485773125/

so there seems to be a vast amount of uneeded grind in this game. I was hoping as development progressed certain aspects would be fixed, but twas not to be.
So while I do like starting from scratch and working my way up, progress is bottlenecked to small leaps.
What I really wanted was to have the ability to help other stations and companies upgrade their stations, by doing specific missions for them, this would have the effect of increasing their production of resources etc. etc. meaning I could make more $$$. Would have made the universe feel more alive.

So instead I found my own solution. Go to your savegame directory, look for your savegame file, change values in notepad.

Maybe I should just mod the game to my own desires, but I cant really be bothered.
