How to Progress Into Chaos?

Me and my friend are completely dumbfounded as to what we are supposed to do now.
We have rinsed Hard difficulty and have come out with fully upgraded shards and the best level 46 gear we can find, but Chaos 1 is completely destroying us, even with both of us at full attention. Is there any way we can improve ourselves to actually be able to do it?

1. get good items from hard.
2. try C1. cant finish one round? look what failed. "are the mobs to long on a wall? improve DPS tower.)
(walls insta gone? improve that (maybe more walls, or different placement))
3. fight for every wave, every killed boss will give you better items.

a little bit harbringer hard farming for guaranteed legendarys (lv46) if you havent already, then upgrade your best power and health totem and also put upgraded shards into them (like +24% def power/health) ... this should make it fairly easy to do c1.
if you still have trouble, you can either look at yt for tower layouts and try these out or farm the merchant for even better relic upgrades (keep in mind that merchant/drops are based on your average ilvl of your hero deck).

edit: dont hesitate to use medals for upgrades, they are easier to get than gold in my opinion.

Still wont help the gap is to big between them. Its like going from the old way stright to nightmare 4 after finishing campain.

i just did it last week lol, ofc it helps ... i touched DD2 for the first time after the trials update

Try some incursions on hard? Should find good shards like +34% tower health/damage and have them on barricades and damage stuff then you should be able to start farming C1 for the good shards

I think your gear from hard is not upgraded right? you need to upgrade your gear to get better gear. after the patch for me the dropps was always the same as the gear i already had, so i had to upgrade it and now the dropps are much better.
if you dont upgrade your gear the drops will be just a tiny little bit better than the stuff you already have

(Sorry if this is considering "necroing this thread but it most closely resembled the issue we're having)

Just did some Chaos 1 with a friend... and that STILL only drop lv46 gear... what's up with that? Our gear pre Trials is way better than that, even after they all got broken (like how my monk can't range attack because his weapon used to have an ability to make him fly and shoot lightning, but now only make him hop in the air for a second before it cancels out), yet we can barely make it through. Our gear is fully upgraded and filled with what shards we've gotten. Are we somehow supposed to play Chaos 2 to get lv50 gear? If so how much harder is Chaos 2? We haven't felt like trying since we barely can get through a Chaos 1 game.

I guess we'll have to look into that next time. Was some maps in the trials playlist we really don't enjoy though but I guess just leaving and remaking the game will give us a new one if that's the case :P
