They are making a good game. The game is based on chinese mythology that is very interesting and lot of boomers and millenials have fond memories of various monkey king TV dramas and movies.

Because the number of normal gamers outnumber the number of gamers who subscribe to the Americanized Maoist ideology that is now the modern left. Which is ironic because this is a Chinese dev. Then again Mao was so bad the party he created kicked him out for being too extreme. instantly repealing and stopping everything he put in place after his death too after he used a color revolution to regain power.

I have the game wishlisted and plan on buying a copy for myself and one for my friends, hopefully they don't fall into the remaining pitfall.

Main reason^

The game itself is very very interesting and shaping up to be real good, the monkey king mythology/Journey to the west has always been great. Plus Wukong was the basis for Goku in DBZ. My first exposure to Wukong was from the film 'The Forbidden Kingdom' where Jet Li played him. Since then I became a fan and have always wanted to see more of this character. This game is all I want.

Other than that, devs are based af and rejected woke stuff and ignored pointless slander from 'journos'
