Upgrading armour to have better stats is a waste?
Wut?
So advice for new 1st timers (not NG/NG+) is hold off on upgrading any armour items/sets until at least end of Chapter 4 so you get a feel for what your preferred stats/style/build is. If you must upgrade in Chapter 4 but definitely not before as you are more likely to regret your choice with so many more different and better armour pieces to come. And you would’ve wasted a whole bunch of crafting items into abandoned sets.
I hope the devs will eventually implement a refund system for armour upgrades as well similar to celestial medicine etc.
E.g. If you challenge the Blacksmith and win, you’ll also get a armour unique to that challenge.
