The graphics look bad on my PC
Hi, the graphics look outright terrible on my PC. Does anyone have the same problem? What do you do about it?

Here's a link to a screenshot. It's not zoomed in, mind you. It's just a piece cropped that best demonstrates the problem - the hair and the tree branches. It looks like watching 260p video on a 4K monitor. I had the same problem with Resident Evil 3, where Jill's hair had similar looking hair problem.

Does anyone know what to do about it?

Black myth looks amazing. Smooth and clean. Without stutter or Bugs.

Never got a Problem in my 40-50 hours.

Happy for you. What HW do you have? Would you mind taking a screenshot of character's hair and uploading it to Imgur?

Pessimistically speaking - he plays basically at resolution barely higher than 1080p and uses frame generation to even maintain 70fps with 4090.

I went back and tried the benchmark tool again after playing this game for hours. I could vouch that it doesn't do justice on how good the game actually looks especially in Chapter 1 (since the benchmark takes place on that chapter).

This problem is not related to Wukong only. As I said before, I notice it in Resident Evil 3. I also noticed it in Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2. I'm pretty sure it will happen to me in full game of Wukong also.
If it's also an issue on other games, do they still look bad with TAA off? If so, try playing around with the super resolution settings (i.e. FSR, TSR, or XESS) - especially the Disabled option if there's any. I always have this on just to get more FPS on other games, but I turn it off when my PC can handle enough. There's no way to turn it off in Wukong sadly.

Other than that, I think there's nothing left to work with; unless, maybe there's a setting in the GPU driver that's causing these issues in your games(?|)

For hair this game uses dithering(i hope its the correct term) which causes some artefacts. its a decision made by the developer. and cannot be removed with a setting but it can be reduced if you use higher resolution. maybe goinng down to high with 4k 67 superresoltuion but if you exceed 8gb vram it stops streaming the textures correctly.

I appreciate your info. It indeed does look like a dithering effect. I hear there's a mod that attempts to fix this, gonna give it a try.

dont max it out, use 60hz refresh rate screen with 60fps vertical synced. turn off frame gen and motion blur, it will give u night and day differences

It’s better at 100+ fps.

Easier to see pictures if you just use steam instead of webpage links.
