Does the game end when you beat final boss???

Can you continue playing or does it go straight into NG+ ??
I am looking to get the true ending without beating the whole game twice.

You can choose to start a NG+ or continue to play after beating the final boss.

You shoud say "if you will beat the final boss". I can't win this boss.:(
