1. No story.
2. No map, no exploration, every map is a maze.
3. It's boss fights every 10 minutes. And players are very underpowered.
4. Linear progression. Everything you need is handed to you as you progress.
Also read the lore content when you get them. They have really good stories that bring the world to life. I love to stop and read each entry as they unlock.
1, there is a story
2. Don't need a map, no exploration?? Figure out the maze?
3. Ever hear of grinding?
4. Handy:}
I personally don't think any game released today is worth $70. This included.
Boss Rush, no exploration, no Gear find, only craft on shrines.
Low Light Dark Souls
Sometimes you face 4 little mobs and than the next boss.
Thats the whole game.
I love Persona 5, Zelda breath of the wild, and Black Myth Wukong equally.
Have you tried to use the magic? It helps a lot to freeze the enemy and use the gap to make a lot of damage.
It seems you don't know how to play this. Maybe watching how others play can help you?

Ain't no way this dude glazing LOL LONG
First of all, the game costs $60, which already makes it a lot better deal than many other games. Next, do you realize Journey to the West is considered one of the marvels of the literature? Saying there is no story in this game is rich.
It is also funny to see someone complaining about exploration and maps being a maze while many others are crying their eyes out about lack of exploration and linear maps.
Boss fights are where Wukong is at its best so having amazing fight every 10 minutes should be good thing.
And yes, you are given your tools/spells as part of your progression, which is pretty much the same in any other game, but the rest is up to you to build your character to your liking.
