i did fight a boss of that type after the game teleported me there but when i went back to the zone and checked the forest there
the enemy with the big head was gone
Should they really expect people to just run past the boss in the way of the tunnel?
I restarted the game because I beat him after a couple of tries and learned later that you were supposed to skip him, turns out that you get his skill after you beat him before you could absorb and learn it yourself.
Daoist is stronger. Free attack buff staff that lasts forever and affects monkey clones too.
Maximum mana passive which is nice
That's a structural issue the game has. Being able to fight side bosses that are roaming on that map is just QoL at this point. Imagine if the Tree Sentinel disappeared in Elden Ring because you first wanted to get more xp ? There is literally no reason for the baby boss to disappear like that.
In the valley of despair when you fight that giant mole-thing that eats his father, there is a red wall and you can use big head to break it. You get some scale item and when you go back to the area where big head is located (forest of wolves/outside the forest), on the far left side, there is a waterfall.
You can only enter with the scale and you get to fight a dragon boss and it gives you a bunch of stuff once you kill it. So not only does skipping big head mean you miss out on an awesome spirit, you also miss out on an extra/optional boss fight with a dragon and a bunch of other stuff later in the game and who knows what else. There could be more walls that require him. I've tried different spirits to break the wall and none of them seem to work.
So there are things you do not with a skip, and that includes, unlike hidden, the painted realm, which is very key.
And some bosses are linked to story aspects or other parts that have to be done in a specific way to unlock them.
Later they will return much later though. Or you have to continue with the skills you have into new game plus and being able to go back to areas.
Somehowever that unlocked key things that are linked to story progression will never return Into another playthrough with your current skills.
The stone form transformation is an alternative means to unlock them if you don't have the big head.
Side note
The mole will not eat his father if in the previous fight you killed him first instead of the large one. You can still summon the giant rat by throwing an item down.
Also anyone realized how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the chapter 2's background story is? The Kings and his people were turned into rats and are forced to reproduce to feed Tiger vanguard.
You can use the First Rat prince to break the wall, you dont need the transform.
Thank you! It worked.
Yeah but if you already killed them and they didn't break it. What 逗逼 Jin said worked tho
