People seem to think that the negativity surrounding this game is for no reason -- that it's just vitriol, spite, and hate because it's a game that stands next to Team Fortress 2. The negativity surrounding Overwatch 2 is not for no reason, it is in fact warranted.

1. Overwatch 2 was just a hyped update for Overwatch 1
2. The microtransactions are not "micro" at all
3. PVE mode that was PROMISED has not been delivered
4. A cellphone number is required to play the game
5. balance, performance, and gameplay issues still remain
6. Banter (Even the type that you'd expect from a PG movie) can get you banned

This is just a handful of the problems surrounding Overwatch 2. The backlash it's getting is very much deserved due to false promises, overpriced microtransactions, and all around poor decisions.

I was banned for two weeks for using the in game text chat because I could not speak while my roommate was sleeping in our dorm room. I was not playing ranked, I was playing Mystery Hero's which was in the Arcade at the time. I did not know it was a secret try-hard mode that can get you banned for using in-game text and not the mic.

Never will I play this game again.

This is so true, I was banned for a month, basically because someone was throwing the diff diff word like a parrot, and I said "your mom diff" which is basically a joke not even an insult, and people reported me for it to get me banned, like not even banter can get you banned, even being accused and you try to defend yourself that you did mostly all you can and the result was defeat, all that defending can get you banned.

Yes their game is a competitive pvp game where being frustrated at times can happen, and they can't understand that, you have to be a polite little baby and endure everyone being dumb, causing you to waste your time, your effort and nerves. Not really worth it.

When I see "overwatch 2 is getting review bombed" as an article title I see denial in the writer of the article. Their overlord blizzard claimed it so it must be true and overwatch 2 isn't crap and it's just trolls guys.

Best case your not contributing to the problem, but since there are tons who do, your impact is insignificant.

You have to go a step further and work to make those people not want to support the game, to really make an impact..
