Some of my friends play this game, and i was gonna try it but it has really bad reviews, why?!? They tell me its kinda like this other game i play and to ignore the ratings, but ONLY 9% POSITIVE?! WTF

It's free 2 play. You can go and try it out and uninstall if you don't enjoy it.

Like every other F2P trash it's infested with monetization schemes to pull more money out of your pockets than it would cost to buy a full price game. You could still have fun with the game but no one can tell you whether you'll like OW2 or not.

Rest assured the corpse formerly known as Blizzard Entertainment deserves every bit of hatred they get.

You should try the game, the core game is still a little fun to play. however do not purchase anything.

The negative reviews are mostly for the Monetisation and the flase promises.

Its another desktop game that feels like a mobile game. The monetization only suck when they release a new hero as you need to pay to play it. Other than that they try to sell game modes like invastion or skins which you can't even see since it is 1st person.

The review bombs are because Overwatch 1 was a much better experience and had better gameplay, now you have to pay to get that same experience.

Predatory monetization and false advertising, Blizzard promised a full PvE experience back in 2019 but cancelled most of the things that was about to call the game a sequel. The narrative of the game is good and also the concept of the game, but after many years they lack of maps and modes, also back before the transition from overwatch 1 to overwatch 2 many people wasted money to own the game so Blizzard afterward made it a free to play model where now almost all of the cosmetics instead of unlocking them by leveling up and getting free lootboxes you just swipe your credit card or your parents credit card to spend 22$ on a single cosmetic. let's not forget that also the game took up many things that it had before just to add it later and say that is a "new feature" like the onfire system, and the looking for group feature that has not yet been implemented after they shut down overwatch 1. In gameplay wide the game is fun with friends, balance wide not gonna touch that part.
