Blizzard is terrible and it got review bombed. There isn't anything deeper.

I don't get why people are speculating whether it was tf2 players, racists, anti-lgbt people who are review bombing the game when the fact is that Blizzard has a horrible track record of treating their players and even their employees like ♥♥♥♥.

Sure there might be some of those aforementioned actors involved in giving the game a negative review but overall, almost all of the negative reviews are due to the fact that Blizzard as a company has earned a negative sentiment with most people aware about them.

It's deserved honestly, it's not simply a company who just greedy like many other, but a company that has repeatedly sexually harassed and bullied its employees, earned multiple lawsuits, and straight off lied to their own player base with false promises and increased the monetisation of all their games as time went on.

Yes it is undeniable that this is a review bomb case. But that doesn't take away the fact that it is totally deserved.

Well said. Companies are finally getting some well-deserved backlash for their practices, and I want this trend to continue. Screw greed, screw companies that ignore the harassment of their employees.

I still won't defend Blizzard. It's a terrible company, running franchises into the ground with corporate greed, who treats players and employees both like crap.

Comparatively speaking I've played very little of OW2 compared to 1. So many lies, and changes nobody wanted, and greedy monetization.

There are some anti-LGBT posts in the mix, but it is quite minor and it has mostly been people unhappy with Blizzard and the state of Overwatch which they are completely within their right. I’m honestly glad to see that people haven’t forgotten all their controversies despite their attempts to hide/gloss over/make us forget.

I loved this game and I’m very sad to see it fall like it has. I really want it to be able to thrive again because it was once something special.

- Greedy systems (battlepass, skins which I personnaly love, its like people buy me the game for no reason)
- Outrageous company behaviour, which they always solved with money
- Lying 2 years to players about the main argument of making a sequel, which was in fact abandoned
- Releasing underwhelming PvE, basically forcing players to pay for each mission
- Not even getting sued for false advertising because they were prepared ofc
- First time on a platform with actual reviews, finally a way for players to get heared out

Exactly, and i agree on all the points here, i Remember someone here saying(it's a locked thread) "well, why should we hate the whole company just because some male employees harassed female employees" or something like that
And i say yes you should, because it's the company, I.E. Blizzard that allowed it to happen in the first place! had they had policies and structures in place to punish such activities and to report those who enact them, this wouldn't have happened at all, yet it did and Blizzard is fully to blame here

On the false promises side, yes it's awful, downright worst, they straight up scrapped most of it and now selling it for $15, i didn't ever have the original Overwatch game, and honestly i still liked it through the gameplay videos from many channels, now, i might consider the game and maybe will play a bit here and there, but i will definetly won't be there for paid pve, especially when i have TF2's MvM and casual

Overwatch 2 deserved it's initial "Mostly negative" rating, which now actually is "Overwhelmingly Negative" as of the time writing this, no matter how you look at it

Blizzard Overpromised, Underdelivered, Straight up locked characters behind a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamepass and you think it's okay? if so i think you should see a doctor because look around you fool! every single game is now a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grind-or-pay-to-win cashgrab, yes the graphics and the art style are good, but it does NOT justify the predatory monetization that is in place, honestly if OW2 was pay-to-play and without this whole garbage, like the first game was, i think it would be much, MUCH(and i can't emphasize it enough) better than what it is now, Blizzard, you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ $71.9 Billion dollar company, why go so low? Even with the Microsoft buyout at least finish a good game that you've started(and killed off it's predecessor because old players wouldn't switch to the new predatory successor), i am honestly dissapointed now
