What happens to players that abuse the report feature?

I'm just curious about this. Currently I'm serving a two week account silence because I told people that I would leave the match if my team is bad. Yep, that certainly deserved two weeks right? Obviously (its pretty damn obvious) one person told his friends to report my account for chat abuse. I'm just curious what happens to players that abuse the report function on this game?

Welcome to the woke community of Blizzard. Incase you're brand new to their shenanigans here's a few facts;

•They don't use the ignore so they can't hear you, they instead mute or ban you so you can't talk. They'd rather ruin someone else's experience in an hour, instead of fixing their own in seconds.

•They don't allow you to find better games by leaving, instead they force you to play games regardless because they'd rather you help others steam roll you to combat their horrendous matchmaking system. If you leave you're banned.

•They don't curse or get upset at you when you're finally enjoying yourself, but they don't like it. They instead gas light you attempting to ruin your fun, to the point they can hit that sweet sweet report button, to once again you guessed it "Get Banned/Muted"

•If you don't play how or exactly the way they want you to, you will be mass reported under false statements and will be banned.

•If you don't support the alphabet soup and woke narrative it's best you just don't interact socially period because the walls are watching/ listening. And it's clear Blizzard is very much consumed by this ideology. Quickest way to be muted / banned.

•And the best for last! You could simply just be doing something that someone doesn't quite like, and even though it's not against a single rule. They'll do some INSANE mental gymnastics to twist some overly vague blanket statement ❄️ rule and poof, you're banned/muted.

first off, if you got a mute then dont come here play innocent, most times reports do nothing, meaning that there was no shadow of a doubt you were toxic, no matter if someone triggered you into it
secondly, it sounds like you were playing comp, which if you did, shame on you for leaving instead of muting voice chat
thirdly, no one is sure what happens when you report too much but from what i know you will probably get a report mute or silence, because i never seen anyone losing the hability to report, BUT has been said from very early that consequences to report abusers do exist

just leave voice chat and enjoy life my dude

Nothing will happen to you if you abuse the reporting system. You can mass report other players infinity times and this will trigger the system to ban people faster AUTOMATICALLY.
Also if you got banned for no reason and you try to contact the support (Have fun to wait days till they answer and instantly close the ticket) they will either ignore you, answer you with copy paste texts or just close the ticket AND ignore you. LOL

You obviously never played overwatch my friend. Reports will get you auto banned - no matter what you did and not a single "blizz gamemaster" will either rewatch or unban you.
There even people that got mass reported just for being good and sweaty in QP and got banned.

Showing horrible team sportsmanship in a team oriented game seems like a good reason in some regards. I'd rather have more bad players on my team then people like you that's for sure.

I'd prefer a "Avoid this player being put on my team at all costs" option over a report though.

Absolutely nothing...

There is one known case of this actually happening.. I belive it was Xqc, who was abusing it on stream, and was punished within a few minutes of making those false reports..
Which is likely due to somone at blizzard having an eye on him, and they punished him, purely for the purpose of creating the illusion they don't tolerate abuse of the report system..

However to be fair, there is no such thing as a false "abusive chat report".. as tos pertaining to it basically says "if your bothered enough to make the report it's legitimate" for the Record this is an extremely simplified translation..

But I can confirm with 100% confidence they do not punish people for abusing the report system..

How? I got 100+ hour match time pistol only mercy account.. thats never been punished for anything.. (should have at least one sabotage punishment at this point)

Which of course others rage at me for not healing.. and I just abusive chat report them, and they get punished.. which that account has contributed to literally hundreds of abusive chat punishments..

Blizzard doesnt care that I'm going out of my way to make people get upset by ruining their experience..

Heck players who have voice and text chat entirely disabled have gotten "abusive chat" punishments..

How TF does that work, can't even chat.. still get suspended for abusive chat..

Blizzards community management isn't about having a healthy environment, it's about trying to control people In order to further an agenda..

This is still bothering me. My punishment is almost over but it doesn't feel just. What I did was not deserving of two weeks of account silence. Imagine not being able to talk to your team or biting back at someone for claiming you are not doing anything. Silencing one account doesn't fix the communities toxicity. If people abuse the report feature, it should be dealt with and the innocent people such as myself should have his chat abilities restored. I bet the person that told me he would shoot me (in real life) over this game is allowed to be extremely toxic over his mic ingame and i'm punished for giving my team is heads up...if they are bad I'm out. Where is the justice!

I didn't even think to do that lol. They might have overturned this because come on...anytime I am ever bad in chat is when I'm provoked. I'm never the instigator in any communication I have with other players. I would have to say most of my messages are telling people to have a good time and to even have a good game!

As the tos pertaining to it is 100% open to interpretation..

I mean I've seen many claims of people who have chat disabled.. getting abusive chat punishments, appeal it, based upon the fact they had Chat disabled, and still get their appeal denied..

I once got 2 week muted on WoW cause i said i didnt respect streamers when there was 5000 people in org cause of rekful offing him self. i ticketed blizzard and their response was to bring up a chat log that I KNOW WAS A PRIVATE MESSAGE from 2 years ago saying they muted me cause of it. it was one line calling my friend a froot loop oopma loopa. they dont care for their players and it sucks that another game wont dethrone them for a very long time.
