Why are you so positive about OW2 comming to Steam?

What are your reasons to be that pleased with the news? Blizz launcher was too much for you to download? You couldn't play the game before? Do you want to show how many hours you've spent on this cursed game in steam? Do you want to buy even more battle passes, skins and other digital content to show off to those who doesn't care?

I dont like to play games outside Steam
Steam is bigger and more reliable than any other launcher. Also, other launchers lack some good things that Steam has like profile, community, steam overlay, support for mods(via the steam workshop if the game allows it) and so on...

If Steam didn't exist I would just pirate every singleplayer game tbh... but Steam makes me want to buy them and have them in my library forever

So yeah, when i heard OW2 is coming to Steam, it made me want to download the game. I'm just waiting for the release.

You can add any Non-Steam game to Steam so that's not really something you miss out on

Ease of installation on Steam Deck. Overwatch 2 is a pain to install if I do it through Battle.net

Because its Steam, We all feared that they would force the games to be MS store only or that every major game would be battle.net only this is good news for the future, and like it or not OW fans exist

I mean I'm not positive about it (nor negative for that matter) but its Steam, frankly they were bound to eventually end up here or at GOG and even then if they go GOG, they also come to Steam to, its been a running meme in the Steam discussion area that Blizzard would never come to Steam, and now that meme is rather funny when they have come to Steam. If you look around the Steam discussion forum area you can see other companies that people say would never come to Steam yet eventually did anyways

It will be less of a hassle to run it on Linux.

Overwatch itself runs great on proton, but battlenet can be a tad glitchy .

Now I won't need to launcher OW through lutris.
