Will there be a new gay character?

Why does there NEED to be gay characters? We know gay people exist, is representation really needed? I'm sick and tired of seeing almost every character be gay or bi at this point. The most ridiculous one was that robot, can't remember the game but the robot was gay......... was the most defining trait of a robot really that its gay!?
Why can't a character just be a character and not edited to be gay later on in their lifetime(tracer)

As long as the character is created and they are gay fine, but don't go messing with existing characters just for the hell of it.
