Fulfills the fantasy of the claw actually grabbing and delivering something 99% of the time, and it's never getting old.
Many different characters that significantly change your run strategy, lots of fun mechanics and synergies of items.

If you play the demo it's just more of that with different paths for different upgrade opportunities and bosses.
The gameplay is unique and fun but the issues are hard to ignore.

Mostly that comes down to the lack of items, and perks, after a couple of runs you'll have seen them all besides the rare ones, which are the only ones that make an impact, they're just rare so don't count on getting them.
On top of that it seems magnets and poison are the only builds you can consistently make since the other's items are so few you rarely come across them.

I knew once I closed the game I would probably uninstall so I tried to win a run, consistently got to the last boss but it's mechanics are to just fill up your grabbing space with negative items and overwhelm you if you don't kill him in a couple of turns.. meanwhile he has really high HP.. It's not a fun fight.
I'm sure it's possible but I don't care enough to try anymore.

It's exactly what it says it is.

Each run through the dungeon seems to take about 30 minutes at normal difficulty.

The claw machine works a bit better than the real thing, but you will still roll your eyes at it. There are also some alternative 'claws' that will put a smile on your face.

There are different characters with different strengths, although (so far) none seem particularly difficult to use. The deck building aspect is cool. There are definitely character/buff/item combos that lead to laughable results.

I'm playing this during early access and right now the game is pretty repetitive. It's fun enough, but there are no achievements beyond unlocking the characters, and I don't think the game will hold my interest for more than a couple of days. It is not interesting enough to want to play through all the characters on higher difficulties. For what it cost I don't regret buying it though.
