I remember that private server in particular being disastrously buggy, but I guess I should give the people who run it props for making it even possible in the first place.

I think it was the massive hype for the community developers who were most likely constrained by EA and were never going to be able to create the game they wanted. :/

@OP can you give some details of that server?

How do they finance?
Can items be bought with RL curency? As this is what most private servers offer and REALLY sucks.

Also hows server population? Kinda hard to imagien a private server keeps up the fun of true mass RvR by population.

Server lcoation? would be a bit bad to play it at higher latencies.

What mythic did was great, but EA+online games is just a fail.

The game had a great setting and there was a huge warhammer feeling in it, also the RVR was great too.

They self finance, they are not allowed to take ANY money from the game or they get shut down.

Server pop seems to be pretty stable with around 800-1200 players online at most times with quite well balanced factions.

No ingame items to be bought for irl money, its just how WAR was.

Server is in europe if I recall.

I'm in America so my latency on that server is pretty miserable :( I'm holding out for the day I can fight chaos in a Vermintide DLC. These mechanics! Fatshark did such a good job. Feels wonderful to walk around in the Warhammy Fantasy world again.

Seems appropriate since Archaon The Everchosen's title is Lord of the End Times haha.

Ive tried that one, it's nice, but the servers and lag isn't very playable last time i played. Granted im in EU, so i guess i do have more than "normal" ping.

God how I wish this game had a "State-Trooper" (or officer like Krubber) class KOTBS don't count. Empire is currently the most functional, but most lacking Faction-wise IMO.

1. No they don't even accept donations cause they said it's Illegal.

2. Not bad you get tons of players every weekend and there are always players fighting on every tier, you will get the occasional low player count on weekdays though.

4. I really feel bad for mythic, they even requested to give out the assets of the game to the public so their legacy could continue but EA didn't let it happen.

This is also my Favorite MMORPG for WvW stuff... it's actually one of the few MMORPG's I know where tanks in PvP can be effective.
