I think ALL of them are awesome, godlike, but just to avoid me saying RULES OF NATURE, and considering how many times I've listened to it, my BEST one is probably The Hot Wind Blowing.
Probably because I can easily understand the meaning of the lyrics more, and because the instrumental is very pleasent to listen to even without the lyrics.

War Still Rages Within kinda sounds like a Linkin Park ripoff, but it's still very good not gonna lie.

Meteora and Hybrid Theory were my favorite albums from Linkin Park back in the day. Maybe that's why i like those songs as well All Metal Gear Rising songs are great and they are written special as their own boss theme. Rules of Nature for the Metal Gear Ray, Stains of Time for Monsoon, etc. And the way they deliver the music is so great; You start the fight, you only hear instrumental part. Bosses starts their last phases and the lyrics kicks in. For me this is one of the reasons that this game is so awesome. Not many games do that. So it can be said all songs are great but personal preferences make the difference.

Yeah the detail of having lyrics related to the boss itself was a great design choice. Not only because you could have given a little bit more lore to the character (without making a cutscene explaining it), but because everytime you think about the same lyrics you always think that it's THAT boss from Metal Gear Rising.

I love all the tracks, but the best in my opinion would be Stains of Time, because IT WILL COME LIKE A FLOOD OF PAIN POURING DOWN ON ME

I suggest listening to the original version if you haven't (and with lyrics)
