I have all of the settings pretty much maxed as well with exception of shadows only on objects, set at meidum, and Antialiasing and Antistropic Filtering turned down 2x's (you never really need those two nowadays anyways).
Aside from fixing the strange mouse-movement issue the only other thing during my hour of play that kinda sucked was the minimap not making note Active quests. I had to keep the Map panel open while playing to see which way I was heading and the Map panel takes up half of the screen (but you can repsosition it).
Oh, one other thing that was weird is that your characters can start walking up on rocks and get himself stuck in odd places - one time the only way to set myself free was to wiggle into the water and if you're in the water too long trying to find surface to come back out on you wind up drowning.
I didnt know you could drown, but it does explain why I died while going through my inventory in the middle of that pool of water that one time...
Yeah, I think this is primarily the main reason I have not been having as many performance issues as many have had over the past year in quite a few games - I'm playing on a desktop which offers more space for meatier graphics cards requiring fans.
Win7 x64, NVidia 560ti, AMD 8 core cpu, 8 gig dual-chan mem
I think the game just needs a little bit more work to make it a very good game, but it is playable (and enjoyable) as is. Of course I am coming in at patch 1.07, so I can only imagine what it was like at 1.0!
i never ever experienced such ignorance towards the playerbase and im 58 so to say yes not native english speakin writing . The game has still a terrible Fov what i citisised since months.
they are too busy making DLC and a sequal to deliver on their promises. too bad. ive seen big budget companies that behave worse, but ive seen them behave better too. the only thing I can say, is that at least its not "the war z."
I have this on my wishlist..I'll wait till things are sorted..thanks for you're honest post M8
