I seem to get better performance when I use the NVidia control panel and override the AA and set vsync to adaptive.

the game itself uses a lot more resources than it actaully needs, and that doesn help much either. xsys suggestion is a good one.

Game does seem to have Vsync on by default without a toggle for it. Perhaps that may help. Heck i'll even just try forcing Vsync Off completely and see if that changes anything.

Does anyone know whether the game offers any differen shader models for different type cards? I only get 3.0 listed which is pretty old

After forcing VSync Off, am still only able to get about 40FPS in that specific scene
