News - tools, patch, improvements...
This month we are working the most to prepare Dreamatrix engine tools, wich will give passionate players opportunity to add their content, ideas, do changes which may give everybody else new things to play with. Also DREAMATRIX MOD TOOLS - BETA is last stretch goal.

A lot of the changes we had to make on the tools, only this week we have implemented:
- load save game positions with custom mod folders
- save game with mod folder name
- custom language add for mods
- load custom world map texture
- load custom mini map texture
- custom voiceover add for mods
- loading package
- parsing all the data in the package
- creating folder hierarchy
- extracting all the data in the package

We have made various memory optimizations for LOD, fix some quest bugs, support for alienware hardware...
Support for lod will last a very long time, among other things because LoD 1 and 2 are related games, so every improvement that will be installed on LOD2 will also be built in LoD1.

We are still preparing all rewards, and hope that all will be ready in next few weeks. You will be informed about date.

this sounds promising.

Well its nice to get an update like this from you.
I still intend to pick this game up.
But have been a bit put off by your silence or repeated -coming soon - comments for a lot of posts.
So thank you for this post O.P.

After over 200 hours on this game, I obviously like it. I have taken one character to level 15 and one to 14, but have never finished the game because I can't find the "black monolith". I have gone back through all of the dungeons, caves and forts, with no luck. I have traveled the entire world several times, but I can't find it. I am hoping to find this thing and finish the game before LOD2 comes out. Does anyone remember where it is?

Well, mods are great but actually i think you should focus on bugs fixing instead of anything else. A stable game is the most important, especially if you add mods above that, it'll be even more unstable.

Btw, it's a "partnership" you did with Alienware ? I don't really see the point here, but it's not that intrusive so i guess it's okay.

this is true, but the upside to modding capability is that the community can make patches that fix the various problems that the devs either cant fix, or wont fix. I know I plan to do some work once the tools are out...

I forgot that aspect. But the modders shouldn't bother about it. And i consider a quest bug for instance as a "major" bug. So it should be fixed in the vanilla game. This kind of bugs btw are kind of easy to fix imo.

I've to admit, apart the quest bug i got, the game seems stable.
