Shortcut for HD version?
Is there a way to create desktop shortcut that will automatically launch HD version of the game? I've been searching for 2 hours but most resulsts are just ppl having problems with HD version or links to pirated versions of the game.
I know I can launch game in HD via Steam library but I prefer doing this the old way.

\steamapps\common\NARUTO SHIPPUDEN Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst\dlc This should work. Search in this folder for shortcut ^^

Unfortunately, it still launches classic 30fps version.
AFAIK dlc folder contains Full Burst stuff but 60fps was added later (I guess along with UNS1 and UNS2 as legacy). My reason is that save file for HD version is NARUTO3LEGACY.s (I can safely remove NARUTO3.s without losing HD progress).

A workaround (I don't understand how to utilize info from SteamDB about Launch Type, since there is no mention for any launch arguments and directly starting HD DLC exe still launches vanilla launcher and non-HD version of the game).

Damn, it's apparently a full conversion from 32-bit to 64-bit as well, that must be why it's optional. Because 32-bit users won't be able to play the game otherwise.

Something else I've noticed in my limited testing is that the DLC doesn't rely on the base game at all, which makes something like this possible: http://i.imgur.com/X2xfDir.png

What I've done in that screenshot is remove all folders and files except the "dlc" folder from the game folder, then moved the content out from the "dlc" to the game folder, and renamed the new executable NSUNS3.exe to NS3FB_launcher.exe.

This have the consequence of being able to start the HD game directly through the executable and the regular "Play" button on Steam. Basically I've "overwritten" all original game files with the new one.

Though this obviously breaks the actual HD launch option.

It does work for me and as a bonus, I was able to free up 7-8GB of space due to not needing non-HD version (but it's possible some stuff got broken and I haven't noticed - I only have challenges left so I don't play story mode anymore; don't try until you don't mind redownloading the game).

I have released a guide to fix this without removing the original release (as that might break some stuff):
