Feral Interactive also got removed from the publishers. I would love to get some clarification too...

Yep I actually made a post about that too on reddit and gaming on Linux

I wonder if i can request a refund based on this removal

They removed from sales the Linux and Mac ports but you should be able to install on these systems if you've previously purchased the game.
The install function on your library should be still active for older OS. Mac is no longer supported from 10.14 onwards

It looks like both Mad Max and Shadow of Mordor were removed from Feral Interactive's website, too. I don't see a way to purchase the games there.

But what about people who buy it now? Will they be able to install the Linux version?

Yes, otherwise existing purchases wouldn't have it.

The good thing is Linux can always use Proton to play the game whereas Mac folks are out of luck using Proton
This is a license expire related removal i hear. The system is broken and does not encourage to purchase these kind of games, if true.

Unfortunately Proton is hit or miss with these types of things.

Shadow of Mordor had a linux version, but Shadow of War doesn't and i've never been able to get SoW stable in proton with 5.0 or 5.13, so i wonder about the non-linux version of SoM and potentially Mad Max without that option.
It is NOT gone! Just some copyright expire issues... Oh yes: these are still a thing today. These games are like a big puzzle of 1000 and one pieces, and just ONE piece out ruins the whole picture. The copyright mafia are a thing of the past but still ghosting in these.

Fuchsia is not a thing, will not be a thing. Google are putting great efforts on their ChromeOS (a Linux distribution) and making Steam default on Chromebooks.
