Can't Start Game...White Box
When ever I open the game, I am getting a solid white box in the top left hand corner of the screen and the rest of the screen is black. I am getting audio though. Is this a temporary issue or is there a fix for it now?

I have a Radeon 6570 I have tried lowering my resolution to the desktop and reinstalling. Any other suggestions?

I have done both of those also, https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3660-IPGN-8506 says to run the dx9 installer that came with the game, didn't help me but it might help you

Same issue here, none of the support suggestions have worked for me. Gonna wait a day or so to see if they patch this up then I'm going to push for a refund.

i finally fixed it. i did this, go to steam/steamapps/common/castlevanialos/bin right click on properties set compatibility to windows vista and run as administrator. good luck hope this works for you.

Did you just apply that to the executable in the folder? I don't have the option to set compatability mode for an entire folder and the individual file didn't help.

I tried that too with no luck.

He's referring to the executable file titled "CastlevaniaLoSUE.exe"

I'm running Windows 8 32 bit and have had no issues but most issues like this are usually fault of the default res settings being incompatible with your monitor.

If you go to the game name in your Steam Library, right click, access the Properties menu and add the following to Lauch Options -windowed It will start the game in a window and independent of resolutiion so that you can set the res in the game's options menu.

If that works don't forget to go back to Launch Options and erase the toggle you entered.

Same Probleme and nothing working....

None of these are working for me and its ticking me off. How stupid is it that you can only change the resolution in game. Because if you NEED to change the resolution you can't see it cause it wont display. Nice catch 22. I hate console ports

I sent in the issue to Steam support last night. I am sure a ton of others have too. Hopefully they will get back with us and let us know what the issue is. I really want to play this one.

Windows 64bit here and -windowed sadly does nothing. It still launches the game in full screen with that weird white box on a black back ground. I e-mailed Konami support but they're experiencing high traffic apparently so who knows when that'll go through. At this point it seems like a bunch of us are screwed with no way to fix this.

EDIT: I've also tried adjust from 1768x992 to 1920x1080 with no luck - I get the same problem on both resolutions.

Well I have tried just about everything, sent Konami tech support a ticket but Im not holding my breath considering they are a console game developer.
